Governor Centrifugal type RSV

RSV type centrifugal governor is a governor that can regulate each engine speed (revolutions idle up to maximum rotation). Letter V (verstell) means the setter / transfer. In the centrifugal governor there is only one type of RSV as a regulator of the tensile spring mounted outside the centrifugal weights.

2. The workings of the centrifugal type RSV governor

a. position start

At the time the engine has not been alive, control rod position is always at the start because the pull of spring start. Thus the machine can be more easily turned on even though the lever setterin idle position.


b. idle position

Lockout lever on round idle position. Regulators are interested in a littlespring-loaded centrifugal weights depending on the opening round of the idleand the power of the regulator spring. Rev the engine up, opened the centrifugal weights, the volume of injection is minimized. Engine speed goes down, the centrifugal weights injection volume enlarged close. Can be stabilized so that the idle rotation, then to regulate the springmounted additional rounds for idle round.

c. Regulation on the middle rounds 

Lockout lever on the middle lap position, the spring attracted a strong regulator, the regulator rod moves toward the maximum, the centrifugal weight is still slightly open. Thus a large volume injection / lot, the engine turns up. Open centrifugal weights. If the centrifugal force greater than the strength of the spring. Thus, regulators are interested in towards the small injection volume / least until there is a balance between the centrifugal force with the power of the regulator spring.

d. The position of maximum rotation and restriction
